About Kay
My artwork focuses on the natural environment through quasi-abstract presentations of seascapes, landscapes and small fragments of nature. I am fascinated by colours, textures and mark making, working in acrylic, oil, oil and cold wax.

Living on the beautiful South Coast of NSW I was immersed in country, flocks of native birds, animals, rock, earth, water, sky, sand, landform and vegetation. I saw many places where the original owners, the Yuin people, lived for many centuries. I was particularly captivated by a beautiful hidden place called Guerilla Bay, which I have painted many times.

I have recently moved back to Darkinjung country on the Central Coast of NSW where I continue to draw inspiration from the land and coastal hideaways. Art for me has been a lifelong journey and since retiring from business I have become a full time artist growing my portfolio and working towards another solo exhibition.
